Lonely T-Rex is the name of the dinosaur played within the T-Rex Runner game.

Animation

Within Chrome, he first appears on the "you-are-offline" page with a blinking animation. Early in development, it was suggested that he has a roaring animation. This animation was created, but removed for simplicity. Once the user activates the game with space, up button, or down button, the ground appears and the game starts. He has a running animation as the ground moves towards him. He has a jump animation and a duck animation, activated with the up and down buttons respectively. When he touches a cactus or pterodactyl, he will suddenly stop with a "dead" sprite. Early in development, it was suggested that he could kick, but this wasn't done. There may have been a version developed where dust flies out from the dinosaur's feet as he runs.

Several online gaming sites also have the Lonely T-Rex game available to play without having to go offline.
